Mail-In Sharpening (Nationwide)

Stay sharp without downtime. Mail your shears and clipper blades to us; we’ll turn them around quickly and send them back ready to work.

What We Service (Mail-In)

  • Shears — Beauty/Barber (honed & convex for fine human hair), Pet Stylist (left- or right-handed, thinners, texturizers, curved and chunkers)

  • Household shears — Paper, fabric, or pinking; bevel edge sharpened (not for hair)

  • Clipper bladesA5 (regular or wide; steel or ceramic) and Wahl® 5-in-1 (standard size)

  • Not serviced: 5-in-1 Mini blades

  • Clipper Machine Service (optional) — Most Andis or Wahl pet clippers: clean, inspect, replace Blade Drive (included), and test ($20 each). If mailing a machine, please contact us first for packing guidance.

How Mail-In Works

  1. Fill out the Packing List (below) and place it in your box.

  2. Prep & pack your items (see “How to Pack”).

  3. Ship with tracking to the address below.

  4. We sharpen — typical in-shop turnaround 3–5 business days once received (contact us to check for any delays).

  5. Pay & return ship — We’ll invoice by Square (we can coordinate Venmo if preferred). Service must be paid in full before return shipping. Default return is USPS Priority Mail; free return shipping on orders $300+ (otherwise billed at carrier rates).

How to Pack

Supplies: Sturdy corrugated box (no envelopes), bubble wrap/foam, small bands/sleeves, packing tape, your printed Packing List.

Do

  • Use a sturdy box with appropriate padding on all sides

  • Clean & dry visible hair/debris (we return items cleaned, oiled, and ready)

  • Shears: close and band/sleeve; wrap each pair separately

  • Blades: use guards if available; wrap each set separately

  • Machines: remove loose accessories; wrap body snugly; extra padding at switches/ports (contact us first)

  • Put your Packing List on top, then seal; ship with tracking and keep the number

Don't

  • Don’t use paper envelopes or thin poly mailers

  • Don’t let items rattle — if you hear movement, add padding

What’s Included in Service

  • Shears: Professional sharpening on industry equipment, hand-finished; returned cleaned and test-cut

  • A5 blades: Precision machine-sharpened (not manual stone grinding) for consistent, reliable results; then cleaned, aligned, and tension-set with the blade behind the comb; demagnetized, oiled, reassembled, and test-run

  • Wahl 5-in-1 (standard): Sharpening and setup for smooth performance

  • Adjustments: If anything doesn’t feel right, please notify us within 72 hours so we can correct it

Pro tip: If blades aren’t cutting right, a worn Blade Drive is often the cause — not the blade.
Maintenance: Replace the Blade Drive at least monthly or about every 100 pets (usage varies).
