Terms of Service
1) Services & Scope
We sharpen and service shears and clipper blades (and related items) for beauty/barber, pet grooming, veterinary, and household use. We offer mobile service in the Grand Strand, route trips by request, and Mail-In service nationwide. We may decline items that are unsafe, counterfeit, too worn, or uneconomical to service.
2) Quotes & Pricing
Prices appear on our Price List and may change. Quotes are estimates; final pricing may vary with condition and parts. We’ll obtain your approval before additional parts/labor over $20.
3) Payment Terms
Payment is due at completion of on-site service or before return shipping for Mail-In orders.
Accepted: Square (cards), cash, and coordinated Zelle/Venmo. Sales tax applies where required.
4) Turnaround & Scheduling
Turnaround times (e.g., Mail-In in-shop targets) are estimates and exclude carrier transit. Route days and mobile appointments depend on availability; we may reschedule for weather, traffic, equipment, or staffing. Keep your contact info current.
5) Shipping (Mail-In)
You are responsible for careful packing and shipping with tracking. We recommend sturdy boxes (no envelopes), appropriate padding, and optional insurance. We are not responsible for loss/damage in transit. Default return is USPS Priority Mail; free return shipping on orders $300+, otherwise carrier rates apply. Title and risk of loss pass to the carrier upon shipment.
6) Quality, Adjustments & 72-Hour Window
If anything feels off, contact us within 72 hours of delivery or pickup so we can evaluate and correct issues. Normal wear, misuse, improper storage, or third-party adjustments are not covered.
7) Parts, Wear & Limitations
Shears repairs may include tension/set, ride-line cleanup, and common part replacements where applicable. For A5 blades, we align and tension-set (blade behind the comb) after precision machine-sharpening. We do not service Wahl 5-in-1 Mini blades. Severely worn or damaged items may have limited improvement.
8) Mobile Service Access & Safety
Provide safe parking and reasonable access. We may refuse or stop service if conditions are unsafe/unsanitary or access isn’t available at the scheduled time.
9) Appointments, Cancellations & No-Shows
Please notify us early to reschedule. Frequent no-shows/late cancels may require prepayment or a booking deposit.
10) Sharp Edge Club (Membership)
Annual, non-refundable once activated. Unless stated otherwise, members receive 10% off full-priced goods and services and priority scheduling.
Exclusions: discount doesn’t apply to parts or shipping; not valid on sale/promotional pricing; discounts don’t stack.
Coverage: Business membership covers one physical location (or one mobile business) and professionals working there when billed to that location; Individual covers one person. We may update benefits; the current terms appear on the membership page.
11) Testimonials, Photos & Logos
If you provide a review, quote, or photo, you grant permission to display it (first name/last initial or business name, as approved) on our site and marketing. You can withdraw consent and we’ll remove future use on reasonable notice.
12) Warranties & Disclaimers
EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY LAW, SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS,” WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Cutting results vary with tool design, condition, and technique.
13) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE AT ISSUE. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, MISSED APPOINTMENTS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION).
14) Privacy & Communications
See our Privacy Policy above. By contacting us, booking service, or joining our mailing list, you consent to receive service communications (and, if you opt in, marketing emails/SMS). Unsubscribe or reply STOP to opt out.
15) Governing Law; Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina. Venue lies in the state or federal courts located in Horry County, South Carolina. You consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.
16) Changes
We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be posted here.
